House T

Milano / 2024

The apartment, located on the sixth floor of an elegant 1960s building in a residential area of Milan, was completely redesigned in its finishes and internal spatial relationships.
What remains of the original layout is the wide central corridor, which becomes not only a distribution hub but also an exhibition space and a perspective escape toward the bright living room, an elegant space placed orthogonally to the entrance axis.
The strong central perspective of the corridor is rhythmically contrasted by full-height doors, pedestals supporting vases and artworks, wall frames, and the iron and glass door that separates the kitchen.
The succession of small rooms, antechambers, and corridors that previously distributed the areas on either side of the large corridor have been eliminated, allowing the creation of large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a spacious kitchen with laundry, and huge "bath room" conceived as a proper room where to spend time for ourselves.
The kitchen, custom-designed, is divided into two areas by two non-removable columns, between which a serving window was created.
All the rooms in the house are delicate and very light, providing a uniform background for the design pieces beloved by the clients and for sudden and unexpected colour accents.
The result is a diaphanous space, almost suspended in time and space.
